The Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro (CIC) will conduct a free healthy cooking demo on July 26 at the Wellness Day event at Primavera Residences, the multi-awarded green property in Uptown CdO. CIC is the first culinary school in Northern Mindanao offering programs such as Culinary Arts with Holistic Nutrition and specialized courses like Certificate in Catering and Restaurant Operations.
Wellness Day is part of a series of activities at Primavera Residences celebrating Nutrition Month. It will include seminars on healthy lifestyle and a yoga party. Guest speakers and moderators include CIC chef instructor Ivy Trapero, CdO Rugby Club coach Noel Villa, and yoga instructor Julie Bonita Corrales of The Yoga Home.
Chef instructors from CIC will demonstrate cooking delicious food for the health-conscious. The demonstration aims to encourage people to live a healthier lifestyle.
Participants of the Wellness Day will learn about proper health and nutrition from the experts as well as training the smart way through the Dynamic Training Approach, which will be introduced by Villa, founder and coach of the Rafters – Cagayan de Oro’s Rugby Football Club.
Culminating the Wellness Day will be a yoga party led by Corrales, a certified, US-trained yoga instructor from Camiguin Island.
The CIC cooking demo starts at 2PM followed by the wellness seminar at 3PM. The yoga party, on the other hand, starts at 5PM.
