Italpinas Euroasian Design and Eco-Development Corp. (ITPI), a Filipino-Italian property development firm specializing in sustainable architecture and design, has joined the region’s project developers and clean energy experts in the upcoming 9th Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2014. Organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), US Agency for International Development (USAID) and World Energy Council, the forum starts from June 16 to 20 and aims to gather policy makers and clean energy experts to share the best practices in the industry. ITPI’s chairman and CEO Arch. Romolo V. Nati is slated to share his own experience on sustainable development on June 19. The forum will be held at the ADB Headquarters in Mandaluyong City.

ACEF 2014 will cover panel discussions, plenary sessions and deep dive workshops on various topics such as off-grid renewable energy, innovative approaches to clean energy projects, as well as the challenges facing the industry today. The fourth day of the forum will include a session on sourcing finance for clean energy projects by SMEs. The session is organized in partnership with the Private Finance Advisory Network (PFAN), a global organization initiated by the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) that helps promising businesses find funding for clean energy projects.

ITPI’s first project, Primavera Residences, a green mixed-use development in Cagayan de Oro, will be presented as a case study during this session. The company’s development projects are supported by CTI-PFAN in partnership with USAID and ADB.

“CTI-PFAN has been one of our active supporters and we are pleased to be a part of this session and share with the audience our innovative approach on sustainable development as well as the challenges we faced when we started our projects,” said Nati.

Primavera Residences is an award-winning, eco-friendly condo complex located in Uptown Cagayan de Oro. Its green features include photovoltaic solar panels that will be fitted on the building’s rooftop to produce its own energy. Because of its green features, it recently won in the 2014 Asia Pacific Property Awards for Best Mixed-Use Development in the Philippines. In 2010, the property was cited by CTI-PFAN as one of the promising clean energy investment opportunities in the Philippines during the Philippine Clean Energy Investor Forum.
