5 Healthy Tips to Maximize your Workout Habits

Fitness

Oh hello there! It is not yet too late to assess your eating and exercise habits as Primavera Residences gives you tips on how to maximize your workout habits. They say, you are what you eat. Well, it is important for you to know what to eat because wanting to be fit can be very exhausting but will be worth it at the end of the day.

You may want to consider these eating and exercise tips:

  1. A healthy meal for breakfast

If you plan to exercise in the morning, it is best to wake up early enough to eat your breakfast at least an hour before your workout. Most of the energy you got from dinner the previous night is used up in the morning, and your blood sugar might be low. If you don’t eat, you might feel lazy or lightheaded when you exercise.

You may eat a light breakfast or a glass of energy drink. Emphasize carbohydrates for maximum energy. Good breakfast options include:

  • Cereals of bread
  • Low-fat milk
  • Juice
  • Energy drink
  • Bananas
  • Yogurt

If you normally take coffee in the mornings, remember, a cup before you exercise is fine.

  1. Eat right.

Be wary by not trying to overwhelm yourself with the food served at breakfast, lunch, or dinner before taking your exercise. Please see below the general guidelines:

  • Large meals.Eat these at least three to four hours before exercising.
  • Small meals.Eat these two to three hours before exercising.
  • Small snacks.Eat these an hour before exercising.

Eating too much before you exercise can leave you feeling lazy. Also, eating too little might not give you energy to keep you feeling strong throughout your workout. Best thing to do is to eat right.

  1. Never go wrong with your snack options.

There is no other way to determine what’s enough or not for your snacks. The key is how you feel and what works best for you. Most people eat small snacks right before and after exercise. Snacks eaten before your workout won’t give added energy, but they can help keep up your blood sugar and prevent distracting hunger spasms. These include:

  • Energy bars
  • Bananas or other fresh fruit
  • Yogurt
  • Fruit smoothies
  • Crackers
  • Oats and granola bars
  • Sandwiches

P.S. A healthy snack is especially important if you plan a workout several hours after a meal.

  1. Eat after you exercise

To help your muscles recover and to replace their glycogen stores, eat a meal that contains both protein and carbohydrates within two hours of your exercise session if possible. Good post-workout food choices include:

  • Yogurt and fruit
  • Peanut butter sandwich
  • Low-fat chocolate milk and pretzels
  • Pasta with meatballs
  • Chicken with brown rice.

5. Drink Up

Don’t forget to drink fluids. You need adequate fluids before, during and after exercise to help prevent dehydration.

To stay well-hydrated for exercise, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends that you:

  • Drink roughly 2 to 3 cups of water during the two to three hours before your workout.
  • Drink about 1/2 to 1 cup of water every 15 to 20 minutes during your workout. Adjust amounts related to your body size and the weather.
  • Drink roughly 2 to 3 cups of water after your workout for every pound (0.5 kilogram) of weight you lose during the workout.

Water is generally the best way to replace lost fluids. But if you’re exercising for more than 60 minutes, use a sports drink. Sports drinks can help maintain your body’s electrolyte balance and give you a bit more energy because they contain carbohydrates.

Be fit and enjoy living healthy

Always bear in mind that length and intensity of your activity will dictate how often and what you should be eating and drinking.

When it comes to eating and exercise, everyone is different. Pay serious attention to how you feel during the workout and your overall performance. Be fit and enjoy living healthy to the habits that works best for you. Monitor how your body reacts to meals, snacks, drinks so that you can adjust your diet for maximum performance.

Your health and well-being plays a very significant role in helping you achieve your goals, and we at Primavera Residences understand how important it is to constantly be on optimum health.

Your home is not just a lifestyle, it’s an investment

cIMG_4763

Nowadays, condominiums are up and growing especially in the booming cities in the Philippines like Cagayan de Oro. The consistent rise in property developments in Cagayan de Oro shows that more and more Filipinos and foreign investors are embracing the condo life.

There are countless reasons why a lot of people believe in the comforts and benefits of the condo life. So to say, here are some of their convincing reasons:

  • Condominium units are fairly reasonable. Instead of buying a house and lot which takes a long time to build and cost you expensively, investing in a condo unit comes out affordable and practical. In a condo unit, you don’t have to deal with engineers, architects, and designers as the developer takes care of all of them for you. This brings us why a huge segment of condo dwellers are young professionals and startup families since they can readily accommodate the cost within their budget. Not to mention the availability of financing options that will surely make the purchase of their unit a lot easier for them.
  • The value of the condo unit appreciates fast. In the case of Primavera Residences, your condo unit appreciates 10-12% annually. In this case, Primavera Residences, an eco-friendly condominium in Cagayan de Oro, is an example of an investment that is new to the city. Being the first condominium that is ready for occupancy, you can surely generate income in no time at all allowing for faster ROI.

The building also has its own professional in-house asset management team that manages the units for short and long term rental through the innovative ‘Serviced Apartments’ concept, the first of its kind in Cagayan de Oro. This ensures you a hassle-free, one-stop solution in overseeing your income generating asset. Quarterly reports will be provided to update you of the performance of your investment, allowing you to be on top of things while keeping headaches normally associated with handling your own business at bay.

  • Condominiums provide 24/7 security. The welfare and safety of Primavera Residences’ residents are of utmost priority of the developer. As such, different security facilities like CCTV cameras are installed in vital areas of the building to monitor movement and traffic. The Primavera Residences Condominium Corporation (PRCC), the property management of Primavera Residences, ensures excellent security and maintenance to enforce 100% safety of the guests’ entry and exit of the building.
  • Stone’s throw away from offices and leisure hubs. Italpinas’ prime consideration is choosing the best and right location for its developments. Condo developments are usually in the middle of busy business districts, so you can save gas and transportation expenses. Primavera Residences is perfectly nestled in Pueblo de Oro Business Park where SM City Cagayan de Oro and other leisure hubs, government offices, hospitals, churches, schools, and other important places in the city are just a ride or walk away from the building.
  • Offers the perfect view of the city. Located in Uptown Cagayan de Oro, Primavera Residences lets your enjoy the best of many worlds. You can choose from enjoying the city lights, magnificent views of the mountains, the morning breeze and the whole beauty of sunsets and sunrises. Uptown CDO lets you witness the good view of the Macajalar Bay. Primavera Residences is also just a drive away from the beaches of Misamis Oriental. Truly, nothing beats the excitement one feels living from a high-rise residence.

When it comes to condo lifestyle in Cagayan de Oro, Primavera Residences is the ideal choice for investors and home buyers. Primavera Residences is more than just your ordinary condominium building. Aside from its sophisticated, Italian-inspired design, it is also the first sustainable mixed-use development in Cagayan de Oro.

The twin tower, ten-storey green building is located in Uptown Cagayan de Oro, a prime spot situated 110 meters above sea level. It boasts of its 290 units for both towers, with all units at Tower 1 ready for occupancy.

WE ARE ONE DAY AWAY TO A BETTER PLANET!

On March 28, Saturday, at exactly 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, we celebrate this global switch-off event called Earth Hour together with millions of citizens across the globe. For an hour, everyone in the world will switch off their lights to show their commitment in caring about the future of our planet and the pressing threats of climate change.

Hundreds of cities around the world will participate, and some of the most famous landmarks of the world will go dark as well— the dramatic lights of the Eiffel Tower, the Coliseum, and the Big Ben will impressively go dark for a better future.

Through this initiative, we are showing concern about what’s happening to our planet and paves the opportunity for everyone to act upon what’s right and what’s needed.

All countries have to elevate their efforts in our common fight against climate change. There is no other time to move as one and act upon our goal to a better planet, but TODAY.

PH Real Estate Industry Expected to Boom this 2015

ph-real estate-boom

For the past years, there has been a consistent upward trend for the country’s real estate industry and its constant growth seems to go on this 2015.

Developers and analysts have kept a positive outlook and have foreseen a better and exciting real estate industry in 2015. Major factors such as the ASEAN integration, investment upgrade, the higher demand on BPOs and OFWs are solidifying the real estate market this year.

Office

The rising BPO industry fills up most office spaces in the country. These significant boost is all because of the recently achieved investment upgrade which gave confidence to multinational corporations that are looking for more investments and branching out in the country.

Hongkong and Singapore will be branching out to the Philippines as the ASEAN integration paves way for the office real estate sector in the country. This year, the main challenge for the office market would be keeping up with the demand when more international and ASEAN companies begin seeking properties in the country.

Last 2014, several corporate plazas and buildings are pre-sold and turned-over across the country. Currently, there is a fresh batch of supply being developed, and a weighty number of units will be turned over within the year. These business hubs are vital in spreading the economic growth in the country.

Commercial

The commercial sector in real estate is expected to boom this year. The corporate bigwigs have continuously raised the bar by expanding and upgrading many of their world-class malls and hotels. International brands, on the other hand, are finding their way in the country. Much like the office real estate sector, the ASEAN integration will rake in more brands to invest and put up their branches within the country.

Other players are also planning to step up their game in 2015. The retail industry are planning to invest billions in the next five year. With the continuous growth on OFW remittances, the Philippines have stepped up in BPOs and consistent in economic growth.

Residential

The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association (CREBA), the country’s largest organization of key players in the domestic real estate industry, sees the Philippines grow further because of the ASEAN integration and the region’s increasing role in the global economy.

As the ASEAN integration will transform the economic landscape of the whole region, the demand for residential spaces adjacent to malls, retail centers, and other recreational spaces would rise since the elimination of tariffs on goods and services by a single ASEAN economy could drive consumers spend higher.

Currently, there is a sky-rocketing demand coming from low- to mid-income markets. Buyers from this bracket are purchasing properties as end-users, not as investors. Driving this demand are retirees and OFWs who are either planning to settle back in the country, or are purchasing for their family members.

The BSP recently announced that they will be releasing a housing price index in 2015 to prevent the property market from overheating which also support the increasing demand that keeps this sector flexible.

What’s Next for Your Child After Graduation?

What's Next for Your Child After Graduation?

This is it.

He just graduated.

He finally moved to life after college.

Congratulations for making it this far! Congratulations on the achievement! Indeed, graduating from college is a major breakthrough; that is why most students see college as a major goals, when in reality it is simply a stepping stone to other future life triumphs. Figuring out who they are and what they value the most are just some of the considerations of the adventure they’ll take after college. The next questions will be, “What’s next for you after college?” and “What lies ahead?

After college, they will probably encounter critical issues they need to deal with as they discover the transition from college to career and to living independently.

Dilemma 1: Career A, B, or C?

Many newly-grads are still undecided on what specific career they’re going to take. Even if we say we are as sure as a bullet, guess what? Career experts say that an average person switches careers (not jobs) for four to five times over his lifetime.

Next question is, where would they go from here? For almost everyone, getting the very first job after graduation can seem a big challenge. With little to no practical experience, they may feel they’re in a weak position competing in a job market populated by all sorts of candidates whose varying numbers of work years make them seem more favorable.

For a first-time job-seeker, your child should ensure that they’re tying up with an employer who has the foundation to provide the right training and support. Remember, having a solid start is essential to build a successful career, and it only can be accomplished through working for employers who see the potential in young graduates rather than looking solely at the savings that can be made by hiring them.

The next step: Where will they live upon graduation?

Yes, your child may have just spent the last four years in dorms. Or maybe he have lived off-campus with a friend or two in an apartment. Now that graduation is near, he may have already found a place to live, or decided to move back home with you, still the decision is still in your hands considering some reasons and consequences.

Before deciding to let them live independently after college, you should get into consideration all of your options. Some of the questions that might bug you before purchasing or leasing a place to stay are: “What can I afford? Where do I actually want them to live? What do I need in an apartment or a house?”

Living alone definitely equip them to have a better life ahead. Taking off from college would not just help them become responsible and independent, it helps them build an investment over their character. Though it will be challenging but it’ll be worth the battle, I promise.

5 Eco-friendly Devices You Should Try

eco-devices

The world generates twenty to fifty million metric tons of electronic waste each year and most of the consumption is caused due to heavy use of electronic appliances according to the United Nations Environment Program. However, there are ways to reduce the wastage of electricity by switching to gadgets with solar-powered counterparts, or gadgets that are made from recycled materials and are non-biodegradable.

To give you an idea to what gadgets are environment-friendly, here are some of those:

  1. iBamboo

No need for an outlet or any batteries at all, just a bamboo cut to the usual portable speaker with a slot on the top to rest your iPhone. All you need to do is turn your phone’s speaker on, set it in the slot, and the natural acoustics of the bamboo will amplify the sound. Yes, no electricity required. How’s that, huh?

  1. Eton Mobius

With the rise of the high technology gadgets that contribute to global warming, consumers nowadays are getting even more conscious on how they’ll be able to contribute to being eco-friendly. Eton Mobius helps when you’re out for a day of traveling and need a quick and simple way to have a little bit extra juice, and you want to be eco-friendly about it. Eton put out a rechargeable battery for iPhones that is essentially a case with a solar panel attached at the back. How about a free battery charging wherever there’s sunlight, ey?

  1. LED Monitors

As much as we try to accept the advancement of technology and its implications in our daily life, we have yet to embrace it in its totality. One fine example of such a situation is our use of the bulky cathode-ray tube (CRT) monitors that we use as screens for our computers. They are huge, heavy, space and energy consuming, and the worst part is, they comprise of deadly chemicals like lead to manufacture.

To reduce this, make the eco-friendly switch by replacing them with LED monitors. These monitors are lightweight, sleek, and have less moving parts. Even better, they consume less electricity and also give a more user satisfaction in terms of display than its predecessors. Make the eco-friendly switch if you are using the old boxes.

  1. Smartphones

You will never go wrong with the multi-functionality of your smartphones. Think about it: your phones are your cell phones, mp3 players, digital camera, e-planner, e-reader, GPS device, calculator and so much more. In fact, the more uses you find for your smartphone, the more eco-friendly it becomes because each time you consolidate your gadget needs into the apps and functions contained in your smartphone, the fewer peripheral device you need. The fewer electronic devices you buy, the lighter impact you have on the planet.

  1. Asus Bamboo Ecobook

The cover of this ASUS Ecobook is made of bamboo and is truly a decent way of getting your compute power while lowering your electricity costs. All of the plastic inside this Ecobook is labeled and recyclable. The components are lined with cardboard and there are no paints, sprays or even electroplating used on its components.
